National Child Development Center

The National Child Development Center (NCDC) is the community-based flagship program of the ECCD Council. It serves as the pivotal ground for the implementation of ECCD programs and services, especially the Early Learning Programs and Family Support Program.

The Center is envisioned to enrich community engagement in early childhood care and development. It serves as a convergence point for concerted efforts related to ECCD. It is also a repository of related and appropriate data and documents on continuing ECCD programs and services provided to the community.

Functions of the NCDC:

  • The National Child Development Center (NCDC) is a venue for the delivery of integrated ECCD programs and services such as early learning programs (e.g. Infant-Toddler Early Development Program, Pre-Kindergarten 1, and Pre-Kindergarten 2);
  • It serves as a resource center for developmentally appropriate learning materials such as the National Early Learning Curriculum and appropriate toys and manipulatives; and
  • It is also a laboratory for conducting research, data gathering, and innovations about ECCD that can promote continuing education and professionalization of ECCD service providers.

NCDC Color Scheme
