We’re excited to announce that our new and refreshed website is now live. The old website needed a much-needed update, and we wanted a new one that will represent the ECCD Council better.
To get to know more about the latest design and user experience, we have asked our Information Systems Analyst/Web Designer, Taine Mancao, and Computer Programmer, Lance Tabafunda to share their experience in creating a website that will help us serve you better.
Behind the Design
Taine: Our goal during the conceptualization was to come up with a design that is bright, fresh, and child friendly. We wanted the design to reflect the children we represent by using simple and easily recognizable forms and shapes. The colors used in the design are joyful and easy on the eyes. Blue and a bit of yellow were used to reinforce the theme of childhood, adding green for growth, and learning as the main colors. Colors such as orange and pink were sparsely used to give contrast and depth to the existing design. The fonts used also reflect the theme.
Better Browsing Experience
Lance: One of the major changes in the website is its responsiveness. This allows users to access the website using different devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.
Another feature of the website is its messenger chat support functionality. The visitors/viewers can now directly inquire or send messages to our Facebook Page Messenger account.
We also made the Council’s website using the Content Management Software (CMS) for the ease of updating content, and making information readily available to visitors looking for early childhood services and materials.
